Steve is an ordained Baptist Minister and was trained at Spurgeon’s Theological College in London, England. He has travelled all over the world as a speaker, broadcaster, writer and recording artist. He was the Founder of Soapbox in 1987 - a Creative Arts and Mission organisation working in schools, clubs, pubs, prisons and church based mission events and after concert tours in India he launched Soapbox Expeditions in 1993. By the year 2000 it had become the fastest growing Short Term Service Agency in Europe, taking over 300 people of all ages on projects world wide every year. Following a two year assignment as General Manager of Emmanuel International UK, he has launched On The Box Mission with his wife Sarah.

Sarah Flashman, also a speaker, writer and broadcaster, has developed ministries in evangelism and healing and been involved in running creative writing courses and contemporary dance workshops. As a Registered Nurse she has a vast amount of experience in health care issues and has been working with Steve as Pastoral Co-ordinator and Medical Advisor for Emmanuel International UK.
